Lauren Sanchez has embraced a new aesthetic – and fashion fans are loving her risqué look.

The former journalist, 54, donned a low-cut, floor-length sheer dress with lace detail, catching the eye of fashion lovers, top casino games who have declared she’s fully adopted the ‘mob wife’ aesthetic. 

Over the weekend, she was seen out and about in Italy during Milan Fashion Week with her fiancé, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, as they celebrated his 60th birthday.

In addition to her figure-hugging black dress, she also wore a striking black jacket over her shoulders and her long hair flowing with choppy bangs – completing the mob wife aesthetic.

‘It’s the most visceral example of the mob wife aesthetic in existence,’ content creator Blakely Neiman Thornton said.

‘It’s all bold moves and bad taste right down to the Dolce and Gabbana logo print.’

Blakey described her look as ‘Sharon Stone in Casino, Lorraine Bracco in Goodfellas and Edie Falco on the Sopranos, and all the Housewives of New Jersey.’

‘She’s a cosmetic surgery advocate, down to commit crimes, serve time or go to a funeral service – all in a blunt bang and a fur coat,’ he joked, adding that Jeff Bezos was the ultimate ‘mob boss.’

Social media users couldn’t help, but agree with Blakely’s assessment of her outfit. 

‘It’s 100% mob wife aesthetic and… I’m kinda living for it???? sorry y’all, I like it,’ one fan commented.

‘She’s actually the newest housewife of new jersey. lmfao jk jk,’ another quipped.

‘I kinda LIVE for the fact that she’s the antithesis of what they tell women they need to be to land a billionaire. Gaudy, tacky, plastic, attention seeking. Werk,’ one wrote.

‘Giving high key mob wives,’ someone else agreed.

‘Tony Soprano for the end of times’ was a fifth person’s assessment. 

The mob wife aesthetic is currently trending on TikTok, with its hashtag amassing 54.6 million views on the app.

It is inspired by wives in famous mob movies, such as Carmela Soprano and Adriana La Cerva from The Sopranos, Karen Hill in Goodfellas, and Elvira Hancock in Scarface. 

The outfits are usually loud and flashy, with big fur coats and busy prints being key components to achieving the looks.

Celebrities including singer Dua Lipa (pictured) have embraced the style and donned fur coats 

Jennifer Lawrence (left in January) and Kendall Jenner (right in December) have also hopped on the bandwagon, spotted wearing large fur coats and dramatic dresses

This is paired with black clothes, gold bling, sunglasses, striking makeup and ‘big’ blown out hair – often including a smokey eye look as well red lipstick and bright nails, such as red or French tips.

Celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and Jennifer Lawrence, have all adopted the mob wife look – recently snapped in garish designs and floor-length fur coats.

Dua, 28, was recently seen in New York in a black lace ensemble and fur coat.

Jennifer Lawrence, 33, has also entered her mob wife phase, with The Hunger Games actress snapped leaving the Golden Globes afterparty in a showy velour look.

During a ski trip in Aspen, Kendall Jenner, 28, looked mob-wife chic in a floor-length fur coat paired with heeled black leather boots and matching leather gloves.
